Many people fail to understand the importance of blogging in their business. First and foremost, blogging allows you to position yourself as an expert. If you do not blog or simply do not see a good reason why you should, let me give you a few examples of how you can use blogs in your business.

  1. Website

Putting blogs on your website is a great way to drive traffic to your website. Further, by adding new content regularly, you are doing your own SEO (search engine optimisation). SEO LOVES new content and regularly adding new content will work in your favour.

  1. E-newsletter

One of the best ways of getting your blog out to the world is by using it in your e-newsletter. I do this myself.  I usually create my blogs and use them first in my newsletter. This means my subscribers are the first to read my new blogs. By regularly writing blogs, you are creating all of the content for your e-newsletters and these suddenly become very easy to get out regularly.

  1. Social media

No matter how many platforms you are on, blogs give you fresh content that you have created to use for posts. Remember, you can use a blog in a variety of ways. You can share the entire blog in one single post or you can break down your blog into multiple posts – this works particularly well if you have a blog with lists in it.

  1. E-book

If you have several blogs on the same topic, why not consider turning this in to an e-book.  You can sell this or use it as a give-away to your loyal customers.
