Having been a dietitian for over 30 years she knows her stuff and is passionate about taking the overwhelm out of meal planning “knowing what’s for dinner every night saves time and money, plus one less decision to make when you’re tired and hungry”.
She shares the impact on what we eat has on our health, weight, and hormones, and how improvements can be made through diet and movement “if we don’t use it, we lost it” says Nic.
Nic’s approach is not to give you a diet plan, or tell you what to eat, saying it really is up to the individual. She likes to find out about your lifestyle, see where you’re currently at before making suggestions for improvements.
This episode is absolute gold! So many tips if you’re looking to improve your lifestyle and eating habits. Here’s a taster of some of her tips:
- Don’t drink coffee on an empty stomach
- If you’re going to snack, make it healthy. She recommends carrots, and hummus
- Eat 3-4 hours before going to bed giving food time to digest. This also improves quality of sleep

Her absolute mission is to free up women having to think about what they’re going to cook for dinner every night. There’s a lot of talk about using the meals you’re already making, and bulking them out with the likes of lentils, beans, chickpeas etc…
